Scholl Velvet Smooth Diamond Pedi Electronic Foot File - review.

Friday, 22 May 2015

With our holiday fast approaching and the efforts beginning to get "beach ready", I was very excited to be asked to review this Scholl Velvet smooth, Express Pedi and dry skin cream.

The machine itself is easy to use, simply twist the silver ring to turn it on and run the roller over the area you would like to remove the dead/dry skin.

It is lovely and chunky and covered in a soft rubber which makes it easy to grip and use. Powered by 4 AA batteries (included) it is powerful and works quickly. It is a little noisy but I just turn the TV/Music up a couple of notches to make up for it. It also has a little plastic guard to cover the roller, so you wont scratch yourself if you are rifling through a drawer looking for something.

The results:
This, Ladies and Gentleman is the best product I have ever used for my feet - no contest! I have a similar gadget from a different brand that promises the same result but seems to just smooth out the dry skin. This however gently removes the skin in seconds (I'm not exaggerating!) leaving nothing but lovely smooth soft skin. I have been popping the cream on at night before bed and between the two of them, the skin on my feet is so soft and smooth it is unbelievable.

To show you just how good it is, I tested it out on my Husband who is on his feet from 8.30am - 5.15pm five days a week.

Here are the results after 12 seconds.

Need I say anymore?

I bought a replacement roller for myself and quickly confiscated the foot file from my Husband! I honestly cannot recommend this product highly enough, AND it is currently on sale here. for £27.99! You won't regret it!

Changes on the horizon!

Wednesday, 20 May 2015

So I have a little personal update for you. A week ago today I finally bit the bullett and started what I hope will be my success story with the #SlimFastChallenge

Having been to classes and followed plans before, I have to say it's so nice not to have food on my mind constantly - with most diets it's planning, cooking, weighing all the time.

On this SlimFast 3-2-1 plan  it really couldn't be any easier!

This is how it works:

3 - snacks - slimfast have a huge range of snacks for under 100 calories but it is also recommended to eat a piece of fruit. I have been having two pieces of fruit and either a delicious Slim-Fast snack or a Babybel.

Today I had some SlimFast BBQ flavour Tortillas, a Slim-Fast  Chocolate Nutty Nougat bar and a pear.

2 - shakes - either a ready made one or two scoops of powder with 200ml of skimmed milk blitzed up in the smoothly maker with ice - yum! There is also the option of a meal replacement bar if you are out and about. These are between 210 and 230 calories.

1 - healthy 600 calorie meal.

It is also advised you drink 2 Litres of water a day which I have to admit has been the biggest struggle. I am terrible for forgetting to drink, I pester Liv all day long to drink as sheis the same, but he forget to do the same myself.

The taste test!
I was quite surprised how creamy and filling the shakes actually are, they are quite sweet for my taste but I have got used to them now.

All of the savoury snacks and chocolate bars I have tried are genuinely delicious and aren't like "diet" food at all. They taste just like any other little treat you would have. They are all under 100 calories so you know you can have a treat without blowing your daily intake.

The meal replacement bars were quite a shock for me as they are so filling! The chocolate peanut one is my favourite with a cheeky cup of coffee.

As for my main meals, I eat healthily anyway so have been sticking to meat/fish and veg,
salad or a jacket potato. I can honestly say I have not felt hungry or lacking energy even once which has really surprised me!

The results!
So one week in I can tell you I have lost *drum roll* . . . . 6 pounds!
We have had a super busy week so I haven't even been able to do any exercise!
I have many stones to loose and I know the loss will slow down but I'm just so pleased I have found something that works for me.

I have enough supplies for another week so watch this space for weeks 2 update!

Bubble-Tastic Barbie review.

Friday, 15 May 2015

Livs bath time has been transformed the last few weeks with the arrival of the very fun Bubble-Tastic Barbie!

As you can see, she is far from the Barbie we all know and love as this version is a lovely mermaid complete with bubble blowing tail.

Very simple. Just remove the doll, tail, bubble solution, tray and hairbrush.
Then simply clip in the end of the tail, pour some solution into the tray provided and you are ready to make Barbie bubbles!

Ease of use:
To use her really couldn't be any easier. Simply pour some bubble solution into the perfectly shaped tray provided, dip in her tail and then pull the cord on her back.

This makes her tail spin and the bubbles flow!

Liv has loved playing with this special Barbie, especially as she can do the whole thing herself - she is a big Girl now don't you know! She is also more than happy to play with her just as a mermaid when she is having her bath.

I would definitely recommend this Barbie for lots of fun with little ones!
