Heat Holders wellington socks review

Friday 22 February 2013

I was very lucky to be sent some Wellington Heat Holders  socks just before the snow hit!

They are my favourite colour, super long, soft, thick and I LOVE them! Confession - I even wore them to bed a couple of times when I was poorly, lucky Hubby ;)

They have kept my toes toasty and have washed really well and stayed lovely and fluffy inside.

I would recommend everyone to own a pair of these socks, they really are lovely.

Disclaimer - I was sent a pair of these socks for the purpose of the review. All opinions are my own.

You can read our review here.

Sol Solis say: "The best aspects of our jewellery are":
1) Quality - we make it all ourselves and will not send it unless we can completely happy with it and we do not scrimp on the amount of silver we use.

2) Service - we want all of our customers to be 100% happy and therefore, we send a 'design layout proof' to our customers to get them to check that they are happy with our suggested layouts prior to our making the jewellery. We will redo these proofs until we get the go ahead from our customers.

3) Price - our jewellery is very competitively priced as we are independent (and therefore have no franchise fees to pay).

Sol Solis Jewellery review

Sol Solis Jewellery is a company run by 2 lovely Ladies called Rebecca and Ann. It was set up in 2010 after Ann completed a silversmithing course and incredibly they then taught themselves the techniques required to imprint a miniature hand or footprint, fingerprint, a simple drawing or even a pet's pawprint into pure silver.

Your design can be made into a ring, pendant, cufflinks, ear-rings, keyring or even a bespoke piece.

My lovely Husband decided on buying me a beautiful bracelet for Christmas with 3 charms.

The first charm has Livs handprint, the second her footprint and the third has her name & date of birth.

It came in a lovely little giftbox all tied up in a bow.

The first thing I noticed was the weight, it is a very chunky, solid piece, it feels wearable not like it will bend or break the first time you wear it. The quality really is excellent and to see the prints up close you can't argue that they are Liv's, the detail truly is amazing.

Inside the starter pack was 3 pieces of card, 3 small sealed inkless wet wipes and a list of easy peasy instructions.

The prints themselves were so easy to do, we had to make sure Livs hand was clean and dry, wipe with the wet wipe (no colour was transferred to Livs hand at all) then place on the card with a press and roll type motion, voila!

Rebecca had aleady advised me that any smudges could be edited out so we took photographs of the prints and emailed them over to check if they were ok before posting, to my surprise Rebecca stated that as the pictures were high quality we didn't even need to post the prints off, she could do it all from a photograph!!

After being sent 2 drafts to make sure we were happy with the shape, print placement etc and deciding what length bracelet to have, our part was all done. Three weeks later a parcel arrived that I wasn't allowed to see until the big day, let me tell you it was worth the wait!

How you have changed!

Thursday 21 February 2013

I have finally got around to filling your photo frame.

It was hard to choose from all of your beautiful baby pictures but I think I chose well.

It now has pride of place on your bedroom wall.

Bargain Buy!

Thursday 14 February 2013

I found a couple of bargains for £1 each in a well known shop ;)

They look lovely on Livs bedroom wall, they had some boy characters too.

Doctors VS Winnie the Pooh

Wednesday 13 February 2013

Liv has been so poorly for the last week, a hospital trip and two Doctors later she has an inhaler and antibiotics.

She seems to be getting a little better now but I credit that to watching her favourite film repeatedly, with her favourite characters.

Only the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1977) will do, she cannot be fooled by any of the others!

Get well soon my baby, you gave us quite a fright x

Just a normal day

Thursday 7 February 2013

So far 2013 has not been a good year, we lost my lovely Nana last month and an awful lot has happened since.

Just this week a fellow blogger tragically lost her 9 month old Daughter. My heart is breaking for the family. There are no words.

It never fails to amaze me how "just a normal day" can change so quickly, how your life can be turned upside down in a split second.

Olivia, you light up so many lives, I love you more than words could ever say xx
