The finishing touches to our bedroom.

Does anyone else find that their bedroom gets neglected? If something needs storing it goes in our room, the suitcases from holiday for example are still lying around until I can get the Hubby to climb the rickety ladder to the loft and put them away.

Also after many years of decorating and redecorating the rest of the house, our bedroom was still left with the plain white painted walls that were there when we moved in.

Last year after much deliberating on style/colour/bedding and buying all of the accessories, we finally had a plan in place and decided to go ahead with decorating - 8 years after buying our house!

We chose this luxurious aubergine and cream wallpaper for the main feature wall and warmed up the other walls with some lovely cream paint.

The only problem now is we don't think our pine wooden bed and furniture are looking there best after a house move and 12 years of use.

We are thinking we would like something more modern like this beautiful example from Iwardrobes.

Supplying beautiful fitted wardrobes in London, I think the difference they could make to our bedroom would be huge. We currently have a huge chunky 4 door pine wardrobe which has seen better days to say the least!

I can see that these would not only utilise the space we have better but also modernise the room while making it lighter and seem larger too, win win!
